e-Member Tips

When you receive your first e-mail from us, you may have difficulty viewing the images or the e-mail may inadvertently wind up in your spam folder. Below are some recommendations to help you receive and view our e-mails.

  • e-mails not received

If you don't receive our e-mail at all, there are a few things you can do to ensure our e-mail is delivered to your inbox.

  • In AOL, check your spam folder. Click on the “Addresses” tab, then select “New Contact” and add our e-mail address (e-Member@thePhil.org) to your address book.
  • In Yahoo, check your “Bulk” folder. Click on the “Addresses” tab, then select “New Contact” and add our e-mail address (e-Member@thePhil.org) to your address book. Or when you open the e-mail, at the very top, next to the address, is an icon called “Add Sender to Contacts.”
  • In Hotmail, check your “Junk E-mail” folder. Tell the junk e-mail filter which messages you'd prefer to have delivered to your Inbox by using the checkboxes and then clicking the “Not Junk” button. You can also open the e-mail and, in the toolbar, click “Save Address.”
  • If you receive this e-mail at the office and your company has aggressive spam-filtering software, you may need to add our address (e-Member@thePhil.org) to your spam whitelist folder and/or add us to your address book.
  • cannot see images within the e-mail
  • Most e-mails from us include a link to "View e-Mail as Web Page." Click this link to view the e-mail from your web browser window.
  • In AOL you may get a message asking if you know who sent you this e-mail (unless you have already disabled the warning panel). If you wish to view our e-mail, you will need to click the “yes” button.
  • Using Outlook, the images may appear as red x's inside a box. If so, you should right click one of the boxes and choose “Add Sender to Safe Senders List” or “Add the Domain to Safe Senders List.”
  • would like to cancel membership
  • If at any time you decide you no longer wish to receive e-mail from the Phil, all you have to do is check the link at the bottom of the next e-mail you receive from us. It says “If you do not wish to receive future e-mails from the Philharmonic Center for the Arts, click here to unsubscribe.”  This will take you to our e-Member webpage.  Check the box at the bottom of the screen that says "I do not wish to receive e-mail from the Phil." You won't receive any more e-mails from us. And remember, you can resubscribe at any time.

If you have any questions or comments, e-mail us at info@thephil.org.

Note that the e-Member@thePhil.org address is used only for sending mail to you, but does not receive e-mails.
