THE DOME IS WHERE THE ART IS … Because Louise Nevelson’s monumental Dawn’s Forest has moved into its new home at the Figge Conservatory, Dinner at the Dome has been discontinued for this season. But look for dining to return to the Phil, bigger and better, in the fall of 2011. Dale Chihuly’s Red Chandelier, meanwhile, a fixture in the Dome since the museum opened in November 2000, can now be enjoyed in the more intimate setting of the Philharmonic Center’s West Gallery.
LUNCH AT THE GARDEN CAFÉ: Come enjoy homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and fresh-baked desserts at the Garden Café. Dine al fresco, inside the glass dome of the Figge Conservatory or take your order to go. Museum admission ticket is not required.
CAFÉ HOURS:
The Garden Café is closed on Sundays, Mondays and the following holidays: Easter, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Day. Additionally, the museum and Garden Café will be closed during the off-season: May-September 2010.
