David Amado

Philadelphia native David Amado has been praised by the media, audiences and fellow musicians for his deep insight and visceral energy. These qualities have allowed Maestro Amado to reinvigorate the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, turning it into a premier regional orchestra during his short tenure. His innovative programming, his approachable demeanor and his natural and instinctive music-making make him a formidable musical presence. In the 2009-10 season he guest conducted the orchestras of Eugene, Oregon and Bangor, Maine, as well as leading the Chicago and National symphony orchestras in performances with the Magic Circle Mime Co.

Andrey Boreyko

Andrey Boreyko is one of the most dynamic conductors to emerge from Eastern Europe in recent years. The Russian-born Boreyko is currently chief conductor of the Berner Symphonie-Orchester as well as principal guest conductor of the Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart and of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi. As a guest conductor, he has worked with many of the world’s most esteemed orchestras. In the United States, he has conducted the Chicago, Boston, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Dallas and Cleveland orchestras.

He has guest-conducted the symphonies of Chicago, Detroit and Toronto among others. Maestro Chafetz focuses on the importance and joy of classical music and the fine arts in our everyday lives.

Daniel Hege

Daniel Hege is widely recognized as one of America’s finest young conductors, earning critical acclaim for his fresh interpretations of the standard repertoire and for his commitment to creative programming. He served for 11 seasons as music director of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra and in 2010 became music director of the Wichita Symphony Orchestra. He previously served as assistant, associate and resident conductor of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, associate conductor of the Kansas City Symphony and music director of the Chicago Youth Symphony, among other positions. He has guest-conducted some of the leading orchestras in the country.

Michael Krajewski

Michael Krajewski is principal pops conductor of the Houston, New Mexico, Atlanta and Jacksonville orchestras. He also served in that position with the Long Beach Symphony Orchestra from 1994-2005. Maestro Krajewski has earned a local following for his pops concerts with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra.

Rossen Milanov

Rossen Milanov is the newly appointed principal conductor of Orquesta Sinfonica del Principado de Asturias in Spain and also music director of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra. He recently completed an 11-year tenure as associate conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra and artistic director of the Philadelphia Orchestra at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts. He has conducted many of North America’s leading orchestras and collaborated with some of the world’s most prestigious soloists, including Joshua Bell, Yo-Yo Ma, Midori, Itzhak Perlman and André Watts, among others.

Carlos Miguel Prieto

Carlos Miguel Prieto, considered one of the most dynamic young conductors in recent years, has further widened his exposure by accepting a total of four music directorships in his native Mexico and the United States. He was named music director of the Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional de Mexico (National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico), Mexico’s most important orchestra, in July 2007, and remains music director at his other Mexican orchestra, the Orquesta Mineria. In the U.S., he entered his fourth season as music director of the Louisiana Philharmonic, where he leads the cultural renewal of ravaged New Orleans, while his music directorship of the Huntsville Symphony (Alabama) came to a close in 2011. Prieto has also made guest appearances with many of North America’s top orchestras.

Norwegian-born Arild Remmereit is music director of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and has led many prominent orchestras around the world. He appears frequently with the Detroit and Pittsburgh symphonies. Other orchestras he has conducted include the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Milan’s Filarmonica della Scala, the Munich Philharmonic, England’s Hallé Orchestra, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale in Florence, the Tokyo Philharmonic and the Vienna Symphony, among others.

Gilbert Varga

One of Europe’s most sought-after conductors, Gilbert Varga regularly conducts the major orchestras in musical centers such as Berlin, Leipzig, Frankfurt, Cologne, Budapest, Lisbon, Brussels and Glasgow. Repeatedly acclaimed for his ability to draw out a broad range of colors and emotions from the orchestra, he frequently conducts ballet suites, tone poems and symphonies of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The son of the celebrated Hungarian violinist Tibor Varga, he has held positions with and guest-conducted many of the major orchestras around the world.

Thomas Wilkins

Principal guest conductor of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Thomas Wilkins is also music director of the Omaha Symphony, a position he has held since 2005, and youth and family concerts conductor for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. During his distinguished conducting career, he has been featured with orchestras throughout the United States including the Dallas Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Houston Symphony, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and the National Symphony in Washington, among others.
