About the Orchestra — Chorales

The 100-voice Philharmonic Center Chorale participates in both pops and classical concerts each season with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. Among the highlights of the chorale season are the annual Holiday Pops, along with Patriotic Pops and Youth Chorale Recital concerts.

Founded in 1991, the all-volunteer group is made up of singers of all ages and backgrounds. Each chorale member devotes an average of 200 volunteer hours to rehearsals and concert performances between September and May. In 1998, a youth chorale was created, which also performs with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra.

Both the Philharmonic Center Chorale and the Philharmonic Youth Chorale are under the direction of James Cochran. Brice Gerlach is the assistant director and accompanist.

Auditions for both the Philharmonic Center Chorale and the Philharmonic Youth Chorale are held in late August and early September. Please call (239) 592-5398 for more information about the adult chorale or (239) 254-2642 for the youth chorale.
