Chorale Information

A wonderful opportunity for young voices to enjoy the magic of singing! This chorale of 85 voices performs with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra and in special engagements in the community as well as in their own spring recital.

Auditions for new members are held annually in early September. Students from the age of 7 through high school are encouraged to audition. Three separate groups, divided by age and ability, rehearse Saturday mornings at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts.

Philharmonic Youth Orchestra

Young musicians have the opportunity to audition for this select group and play with members of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. Youth Orchestra members have monthly coaching sessions with musicians of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra and perform two concerts on the stage of the Philharmonic Center.

Auditions are held in the fall and spring for all instruments.  Audition packets can be obtained by calling Janet Johnson, Youth Orchestra Manager, at (239) 254-2612.

Philharmonic Youth Symphonia

Now entering its fourth season, the PYS has grown to 30 young musicians ages 9 and older.  The PYS program includes a complete string ensemble with optional chamber music training, coaching and master classes, a preparatory ensemble for less-advanced students and the summer Philharmonic Youth Chamber Festival (which was held July 7-11, 2008.)

The PYS rehearses Saturday mornings from September through May in the Toni Stabile Building at the Philharmonic Center complex. Rehearsal times are 10:30-noon. Optional chamber music rehearsals and master classes are held from 9-10:25 a.m.
