Philharmonic Center Youth Chorale |

A wonderful opportunity for young voices to perform on the concert stage! This chorale of 100 voices performs with the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra and in special engagements in the community as well as in their own spring concert. Auditions for new members are held in early September and January. Students from the age of 7 through high school are encouraged to audition. The chorale rehearses in groups divided by age and ability on Saturday mornings at the Philharmonic Center for the Arts. Young musicians have the opportunity to audition for this select group and play with members of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra. Youth Orchestra members have monthly coaching sessions with musicians of the Naples Philharmonic Orchestra and perform two concerts on the stage of the Philharmonic Center. Now entering its eighth season, the PYS has grown to 50 young musicians ages 9 and older. The PYS program includes a complete string ensemble with optional chamber music training, coaching and master classes, a preparatory ensemble for less-advanced students and the summer Philharmonic Youth Chamber Festival (which will be held June 11-15, 2012.)
